Winter Roundup: The Desktop Edition

For a while now, I've been collecting little items to complete my desktop workspace. Each one has a function and plays a part in making my workdays more fun and enjoyable. I've created a collection of similar items to recommend so you can do the same!

  1. Some charming stationery is a desktop necessity. Sending thank you notes or dropping a line just to say 'hello, I'm thinking of you' is an art we should never let die! I think this impressionist themed stationery is too beautiful and I would be delighted to receive a letter written on this paper.
  2. I don't know about you, but I can never keep track of my postage stamps. A stamps dispenser is the ideal solution to this problem and they come in many shapes and styles. This is the exact one I have, but I also love this one and this unique shell design
  3. Do you also struggle to open envelopes? It's such a minor task but I'm always tearing the edges or corners off of my mail by accident, and when I have a pile of statements or bills to open a letter opener makes everything go a little more smoothly. I've rounded up some neat options for you here, here, and here.
  4. I'm always enjoying something to drink, and avoiding watermarks on furniture is easy with a coaster
  5. I always keep a pair of scissors on hand for opening packages or cutting up documents with sensitive information.
  6. A lamp brings an extra cozy atmosphere on evenings and can help reduce strain from screens by brightening the area. I have one similar to this and I like that it's pretty tall as it sheds the light more evenly across my workspace.
  7. I have bought these pens multiple times and I always keep them on hand.
  8. If you don't have matches handy, this is the most elegant solution I have ever come across.
  9. This clear acrylic tape dispenser is sleek and has a low profile, reducing the feel of clutter.
  10. Unfortunately, the velvet shade I have on my lamp from Pooky lights has been discontinued, but here's a similar, more budget-friendly option!
  11. Some cute pencils are also great to keep on hand, and I'm inserting a shameless plug for these French-themed ones from my own shop.
  12. A candle for scent, decor, and ambiance--this cactus scent from Paddywax is so refreshing and pleasant
  13. A pencil cup for corralling all those pens, pencils, and scissors you've accumulated is a must have. I personally use a julep cup, but I love this tortoiseshell tumbler and this leather option.
  14. Finally, an acrylic stapler to coordinate with the tape dispenser

I hope this inspired you to collect some beautiful and useful items for your desk. Did I forget anything? Leave a comment and give me your ideas!

Xx,

Lydia
