Refund policy
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
Items returned after 30 days will receive a store credit.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, with tags (where applicable), and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase, such as a packing slip or email order confirmation. Items
Items not returned in original packaging or that are improperly packaged/not in original condition are subject to a $1.99 restocking fee.
To start a return, you can contact us at lydia@theillustratedlife.co. If your item is eligible for a return, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return may not be refunded.
The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Damaged Items
For any orders shipped with first-class postage, we will gladly replace the item free of charge.
As of 07/01/2021, we are no longer able to submit claims on behalf of customers for items damaged in transit with USPS Priority Mail. You will need to present the damaged item(s) and packaging to the post office in order to receive your refund per USPS guidelines, so do not dispose of either until your claim has been filed and you have received a letter from the post office with further instructions to present the item(s). We apologize for any inconvenience.

If you receive the wrong item, please contact us so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Customized products (such as special orders or personalized items) cannot be returned. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items, digtal downloads, or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Shipping rates will apply as usual for exchanges in the same way as they do for returns.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method.
Shipping charges for returns will be deducted from your total refund.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
