Maman NYC Chocolate Pistachio Croissants
I had the pleasure of enjoying one of these last year in NYC and I simply couldn't get it out of my head. After one unsuccessful attempt to recreate them, I discovered the recipe was in their cookbook! I made them for my birthday and I'm thrilled to be able to enjoy these whenever I want at home in Indiana.
Chocolate Pistachio Croissants
By: Maman NYC
Serves: 8
Ingredients
8 fresh chocolate croissants (you can use take and bake ones, like Trader Joe's)
14 oz white chocolate chips
8 oz heavy cream
4 tablespoons pistachio cream
Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan until just hot and simmering. Pour over the chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl and stir until all the chocolate is melted and smooth. Mix in the pistachio cream. Cover and chill for at least 4 hours.
Fill a piping bag with a round tip or a ziplock with one corner snipped off with the cream and pipe into the end of each croissant. Spread the remaining cream on top and sprinkle with chopped pistachios. Serve fresh.
Bon appétit!
