Roundup: Starry Season

Stars have been something of a theme this year for Christmas around here, so I thought it would be fun to do a themed roundup! Stars haven't exactly been a main trend this year for everyone else, but I did manage to find some festive decor and other items that fit the bill. Who knows? Maybe we'll set the trend and next season will be starrier than ever!

  1. This darling Free People stocking has a cozy, nostalgic vibe.
  2. A sparkly garland is very versatile--I picture it on a mantel, draped around the tree, or as a glittering centerpiece down the dinner table on Christmas Day!
  3. Especially if paired with these embroidered napkins
  4. I can't resist adding in some of my own designs, such as our Christmas tree block print wrapping paper, which features tiny trees with tiny stars, and matching, handpainted star gift tags (these have been a hit this year!)
  5. The trees from these gift tags match the ones on this wrapping paper
  6. Stars? As ornaments? Groundbreaking (but so cute)
  7. This embroidered, beaded dress is too darling, and a fun departure from the usual color scheme of holiday outfits.
  8. I think ambiance is a hugely important aspect of Christmas decor, so candles are a must. These darling painted tapers from Anthro are sold out, but the pillar candle version is still available.
  9. You can also create your own with these reusable candle pins!
  10. In the spirit of reuse, I think these candlestick collars are so creative: Here and here. You can pair them with your regular candlestick for a fun change!
  11. To match the stocking, some metallic embroidered ribbon in a celestial theme.
  12. You can't go wrong with a star atop the tree. I have this lighted one from Kurt Adler and I love the way it adds a soft glow to the top of the tree, where it's usually kind of dark!

What theme are you going with this year for decor? Leave a comment and tell me!
